Dr. Blanchard’s research focuses mainly on the intersection of higher education and the law, particularly as it relates to issues of intellectual property/faculty ownership and institutional liability for student welfare, vis a vis mental health issues and alcohol abuse. She previously has worked in student affairs, having served as Assistant Dean of Students at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and held positions in the areas of residence life, judicial affairs, governmental relations and university advancement, service-learning, and student activities. She received her Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Georgia.
